It Figures

"I'm very well acquainted, too, with matters mathematical,
I understand equations, both the simple and quadratical,
About binomial theorem I'm teeming with a lot o' news,
With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse."
W.S. Gilbert

DAY 40:  What a GREAT group of people!!  This is a shot of the Math Department from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts a couple of years ago ... a few faces have changed, but we're still one big happy family.  I've never worked with a group of fellow teachers who are this close ... we eat lunch together every day (but not at a restaurant like in the picture ;-) and we sincerely care about one another.  Lunches for us are no different than an eight-person family gathered around the dinner table ... we bicker, laugh (we do a lot of laughing), say inappropriate things, gripe about our day, share triumphs, and sometimes even talk a little about work.

Outside of lunch, we are quick to share ideas and plans with one another and have no trouble asking for advice from the rest of the group when we need it.  And when one person in the group is having a difficult time or has cause to celebrate, the department is quick to provide the company for comfort or for a party!!  Thanks, Math peoples, I'm proud to be a part of the crew!
